This course focus on Investigation of the intersection between conceptual understanding and real-world application with a focus on the engineering design process, engineering-based learning (EBL)

 

This combines well-known tools from science and engineering to create a pedagogical process to enhance student-centered learning across multiple STEM disciplines method for students and teachers to find an appropriate solution to a given open-ended real-world problem will discussed.

 

Students will explore strategies for engaging K-12 students in structured inquiry learning to enhance disciplinary understanding and ensure knowledge transfer. With systematic structure, organized tools, proper resources, and hands-on real-world experiences will used Concept courses.

 

 

Aims of the course

 

  • discuss the intersection between conceptual understanding and real-world application with a focus on the engineering design process,
  • explore strategies for engaging K-12 students in structured inquiry learning to enhance disciplinary understanding and ensure knowledge transfer

  • plan and teach activities to help illustrate the connection between Engineering  and other subject
